Important strategies to feel your best include standing tall, confident, believing in oneself. But as every woman who has ever stood before a mirror can tell you, Women’s beauty tips and tricks!

Though it is only one aspect of who we are, our appearance nevertheless shapes us. And believing you look your best may be a huge confidence booster.

Neither complex nor costly is looking your best either. Most of us actually just need to pay attention to a few simple beauty secrets — basics that may help you look and feel wonderful without investing a lot of time or money.

WebMD spoke with leading skin care and beauty professionals, who parted with their own advice for looking amazing, to help you identify the beauty practices that truly work:

women’s beauty tips and tricks

First beauty tip: never undervalue the power of moisturizer

If your skin is dry, normal, even oily, experts advise that if you can only afford one skin care product, your money will be best spent on a decent moisturizer.

“Sometimes all you really need is a good moisturizer and a mild cleanser; you can take years off your face,” advises New York University professor Rhoda Narins, MD, president of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Says Narins, every wrinkle is magnified in dry skin, which makes one seem older.

Doctors advise moisturizers will provide part of the protection you need to prevent skin from prematurely aging if you are in your 20s or 30s.

“In your 20s and early 30s, a good moisturizer can replace many products,” advises Park Avenue plastic surgeon Darrick Antell, MD.

What then precisely qualifies as a “good” moisturizer? Dermatologist Charles E. Crutchfield III, MD, says “It’s a product that will do anything from gently adding moisture, to sealing in the moisture you’ve achieved, to helping your skin produce more moisture — and which type you choose should be based on your skin’s individual needs.”

Look for moisturizers with alpha hydroxy acids if your skin is normal to dry. Says Crutchfield, an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, they can enable skin to generate more moisture on its own.

Should skin be really dry, he also recommends products based on vesicular emulsion technology.

Second beauty tip: sunscreen is the best antiaging product available

Actually, before you do anything, apply sunscreen; before you see the plastic surgeon, before you squander half a salary on that costly anti-aging lotion.

Although most of us are aware it lowers the chance of skin cancer, did you also know it’s a fantastic beauty tip to keep skin appearing young?

Say specialists, the explanation is that sunscreen not only filters out the harmful UV radiation but also inhibits their aging effects.

“The sun impacts collagen production in the skin; without collagen, skin won’t naturally maintain that plump, moist, youthful, wrinkle-free look,” notes Antell. Get enough sun, he advises, and skin will crepe far before its time.

The American Academy of Dermatology states that even a few minutes of daily sun exposure over years can create obvious changes in how skin looks and feels without the protection of sunscreen.

Besides more fine lines and wrinkles, you will also find more freckles, age spots, and spider veins. Thanks to the sun, skin itself might seem rough and leathery or loose and limp.
